5:10pm Learn to Skate: Skaters 3.5 years old and above that have never taken a Learn to Skate session or have completed one, two or need another Learn to Skate session to further learn the basics, gain confidence and improve their balance and movement on the ice
6:00pm Learn to Play/Play Hockey: Skaters 5 years old and above that have fully completed a few sessions of a Learn to Skate Program and are comfortable moving up and down the ice on their own. Also, players that have participated in a Learn to Play program that need to continue to work on their skating, passing, shooting and stick-handling skills.
There will be two separate 7 week sessions during the year called: Spring and Summer.
Our classes will be taught again this year by Quincy Youth Hockey Instructors and volunteers.
The Spring Session will be 5/16/18 - 6/27/18 and the Summer Session 7/11/18 - 8/22/18. The Tuition is $95 per session. You can register for one or both sessions.
Players will be placed in smaller, comparable groups with each group working at a "station" on a specific skating skill.
Participants need their own skates, hockey helmet and hockey gloves or winter gloves.
Please tape participants name on their helmet so coaches will know their name and will be able to communicate easily.
Important Rule: It is very important for you to be early. Skaters will not be allowed on the ice if they are more than ten minutes late for their class. It is the parents responsibility to be on time.
The Hockey Office may request that child move to a certain class time based on improper registration, class size, ability, etc.. We will also try to even out the groups so that the skater to instructor ratio is where it needs to be for each class.
You can join at anytime during the first two weeks of session if their are slots available so please contact the Hockey Office for more information.
